Thiago Pitbull He was once again hampered by an injury and will not be able to perform at UFC Fight Night 49, an event that will take place on August 23rd in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA).
The Brazilian suffered a knee injury during training and had to be removed from his fight against Jordan Mein. The case, however, is not serious enough to require surgery, as a representative of Pitbull's gym, American Top Team, told the North American website “MMA Junkie”. Pitbull had his last UFC fight in April, when he defeated Seth Baczynski via judges' decision. However, before that, he was away from fighting for more than two years due to various injuries.
Your replacement will be Brandon thatch, who will make his third fight in the UFC. In the previous two, he defeated Justin Edwards and Paulo thiago quickly, by technical knockout.
UFC Fight Night 49 will feature a clash between lightweights Benson Henderson and Rafael dos Anjos.
