Lyoto praises kickboxing champion and says he is interested in facing him

Last weekend, the Brazilian Lyoto Machida followed the Glory 17 kickboxing event in Los Angeles (USA) and seems to have been excited by what he saw. During the event, held at “The Forum” arena, Lyoto praised Russian champion Artem Levin and said he was interested in facing him.

“I would love to face that guy (pointing to Levin). If I could make a one-fight deal to face him, I certainly would. I like his style”, said the “Dragon”, in an interview with the “Bloody Elbow” website.

But before thinking about Artem Levin or any other opponent, Lyoto Machida has a major commitment against the North American Chris Weidman on July 5th. On that date, Machida faces the champion for the middleweight belt in the main fight of UFC 175, which takes place at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas (USA). In the evening's co-main event, Ronda Rousey defends women's bantamweight division title against challenger Alexis Davis.
