On June 28th, Ricardo Lamas will try to leave behind the defeat suffered by José Aldo in February, in a fight that was worth the UFC featherweight title. The North American will face another Nova União athlete, Hacran Dias, at UFC Fight Night 44, which will be held in the city of San Antonio, Texas (USA).

Lamas, who lost to Aldo in the judges' decision, said he learned important lessons in what was the most important fight of his career. In an interview with the “Majority Draw Radio” podcast, the fighter expressed dissatisfaction with the stance he presented at UFC 169. “Because it was a title fight, I was too careful. I wish I hadn't done that. I didn't fight as usual, and that cost me the fight. I lost to myself in that fight, not to José Aldo. But now I have to prove that I deserve another chance,” she commented.

“The Bully”, as he is known, highlighted the importance of once again showing the aggressive style that gave him the opportunity to fight for the belt in his category. “I learned in that fight that I should never fight like that again. I have to fight like I always fought, play the game I did when I deserved to fight for the title. I was going over everyone, and I need to do that again,” he commented.
