Former heavyweight champion, the Brazilian Junior Gypsy remains one of the athletes most targeted by his division rivals. Still in the sights of Stipe Miocic, whom he would face in the TUF Brasil 3 Final before getting injured and leaving the event in São Paulo (SP), the Brazilian has just become the target of another big name in the category: Josh Barnett. According to the official UFC Tonight newspaper, the veteran wants a duel against Cigano on his return to the octagon.

“To get a title shot, you have to get past Junior (Cigano) sooner or later. So let's do this now. This is the way back to the title,” said Barnett’s manager, according to journalist Ariel Helwani. The athlete has not performed since December 2013, when he was knocked out by Travis Browne with a relentless series of elbows.
