The World Cup atmosphere took over the UFC heavyweights. The Brazilian Fabricio Werdum and North American of Mexican descent Cain Velazquez, who will fight for the heavyweight belt at UFC 180, cheered on their teams this Tuesday (17). Werdum used his Instagram account to publish a photo with the Brazilian flag, alongside his rival with the Mexican flag, and guaranteed that the rivalry between them only stays inside the Octagon.
“Rivalry only inside the octagon,” wrote Werdum on his Instagram account. Despite the friendly atmosphere, the Brazilian guaranteed that the draw between the teams of Brazil and Mexico will not be repeated in the octagon.
“The game wasn't very good, a 0-0 draw, but at least there's a point each, one for Mexico and one for Brazil. I think Brazil will win this World Cup, but on November 15th, there won't be a draw: I'll win quickly, in the first round”, assured the Brazilian black belt, in an interview with the Combate channel website.
The Brazilian Fabricio Werdum challenge the champion Cain Velazquez, for the heavyweight belt, at UFC 180, an event that takes place on November 15th, in Mexico City.
