Roger gracie made history this Sunday in the United States. The fighter was the great champion of the jiu-jitsu world championship, held this weekend in Long Beach, California. In the fight for gold in the absolute category, Roger submitted Rômulo Barral, as he did with all his opponents, with a beautiful choke from mount and won the title in the most competitive category of the competition. Now, Roger joins names like Amaury Bitetti (96 and 97), Rodrigo Comprido (99 and 2000), Márcio Pé de Pano (2002 and 2003), Ronaldo Jacare (2004 and 2005) and Xande Ribeiro (2006 and 2008) two-time absolute world champions at black belt.
