In the main fight of UFC 174, Ali Bagautinov could achieve a historic feat and become the first Russian to win an Ultimate belt. Perhaps that's why, during the official weigh-in of the event, Bagautinov had a curious moment, to say the least, in his confrontation with the champion. Demetrious Johnson, whom he challenges in the Octagon. In front of his rival, the Russian looked up fixedly and stood with his hands open in the air, as if saying a prayer.
The moment happened when they both passed the scale. The duo had no difficulty reaching the bantamweight weight limit and confirming their title fight for the event. Bagautinov weighed around 200 grams less than allowed, weighing 57,4 kg. Johnson scored 57,6 limits.

Back in the UFC after almost five years away from the organization, the Belarusian faces the North American Brendan Schaub on fight night. As expected, neither Arlovski nor Schaub had any difficulty reaching the weight limit for the heavyweight category.
Before his first fight as a welterweight, the TUF Brasil 1 finalist Daniel sarafian he had a tense confrontation with the Japanese Kiichi Kunimoto.
