alistair overeem is on his honeymoon with his new gym. The Dutchman, who has been training at the renowned Jackson's Submission Fighting since last month, praised the atmosphere in his new home, highlighting that the environment is conducive for him to develop as an MMA fighter.

Overeem joined the team after his troubled departure from the Blackzilians team, months before, starting to train alongside names like Jon Jones, Carlos Condit and Travis Browne. The fighter highlighted that the city of Albuquerque, where Jackson's Submission Fighting is located, provides him with fewer distractions than Boca Raton, near Miami, where he lived.

“We are training every day, twice a day. There is a very positive atmosphere at the gym, and I like it locally. It's not Miami, it's not a world tourist spot, but I like the people. It's a friendly atmosphere. It's not that big of a city. There are several good restaurants and, for training, they have everything I need”, praised the Dutchman, in an interview with the North American website Sherdog.

Greg Jackson is also enjoying training with Overeem and stated that the decision on whether to continue the partnership will be up to the athlete. “We all adore him, so it’s his decision. If he's having fun, great. Otherwise, it's not cool. The ball is in their side of the court, but things seem to be going very well,” he commented.
