After being defeated by Matt hugs at UFC-98, former UFC welterweight champion, Matt serra still disagrees with the unanimous decision of the judges, which awarded the victory to his rival by 29 to 28.
“I think I won the first and third rounds. That’s exactly what I think,” said Serra, who analyzed the fight
“In the second (round) he put me on the ground, but I had him in danger. One wrong move and he would have taken his shoulder off”, he said “I made a smart play underneath. When your back is on the floor, it’s like playing chess,” he said.
“I think he fell a lot in the third round and even though he knocked me down twice I was more aggressive when I was on top at the end,” he added.
