Video: WSOF Champion, Toquinho guarantees: 'I won't lose to anyone'

The welterweight champion also commented on the panorama of the under-77 kg category in his current organization

In less than a year, Rousimar Toquinho He has experienced a real rollercoaster in his life. In October last year, the Minas Gerais native was having a great time in the UFC until he was fired from the organization after holding on to a submission hold over Mike Pierce for too long, in Barueri (SP). Hired by World Series of Fighting, Toquinho has already debuted in his new home fighting for the welterweight title and winning the belt. In an interview with SUPER FIGHTS, the fighter didn't want to say whether he's going through the best moment of his career, but he assured that he won't be defeated easily.

“My teachers train me to be the best. I don't know when I will be the best, like they say I will be. But one thing I say: I won't lose to anyone now! I'm not ready for this, I'm ready for victory. Whenever we fall, we get up and come back stronger. And, thank God, I’m coming back,” he said.

Toquinho also analyzed the current situation in the welterweight category at WSOF, of which he is the current champion. “Without a doubt (it’s a very strong category). There's Jon Fitch, who already fought for the UFC title, Jake Shields, Burkman is also a very tough guy. I think that in the world of fighting the fighters are very level and it doesn't matter whether in the UFC or WSOF the fighters are at a world level”, he analyzed.
