Check out the full statement from Vitor belfort:

In preparation for my hearing with the Nevada Athletic Commission (NSAC), I would like to clarify any questions regarding the surprise exam I took on February 7, 2014 at the request of the Nevada Athletic Commission.

At the time of this review, I was considering applying for a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for TRT to the Nevada Athletic Commission. Even though I had not yet formally applied to the Commission, I was asked to take the exam and did so without hesitation.

After completing all the tests, I informed the Nevada Commission in writing that I was still under treatment (TRT) and that I had taken the dosage recommended by my doctor the day before.

The results of the February 7th test indicate that my testosterone level was above the limit. Although levels that are slightly above normal are not uncommon for those on TRT, my doctor immediately changed the dosage to normal levels, as you can see from the normal levels result on the February 22nd exam.

I have been tested constantly since the end of February, March, April and May, and all the results show that my levels are normal or below normal. To avoid any ambiguity, I am disclosing with this statement the results of all of the above examinations and will do the same to the Nevada Commission for their consideration as part of my license application.

I am open to new exams that may be required by the Nevada Commission to obtain licensure in the state. Soon after, on February 27, 2014, when TRT was banned by the Nevada Athletic Commission, I stopped my treatment on the same day.

And now that I am applying for a license in Nevada, I do not want any doubts regarding my ability to compete and I understand that it is my responsibility to prove to the Commission that I meet all the requirements to obtain a license in Nevada.

I would like to thank the Nevada Commission for considering my application and say that I look forward to answering any questions the Commission may have at the hearing on June 17th, and proving that I am one of the best fighters in the world on July 5th. in Las Vegas if the Commission grants me the license.
