After more than a year of absence, Joel alvarez is back in Ultimate. The lightweight prospect (up to 70,3kg) surpassed the good start of Englishman Mark Diakiese in the UFC London and achieved a beautiful submission in the second round, silencing the local fans present at the O2 Arena.
With the positive result, Joel recovers from the setback to Arman Tsarukyan and once again attracts attention from the rest of the lightweight division. The Spanish prospect has an MMA record of 20 wins and just three losses.
Experienced in the sport, Mark Diakiese suffers his second consecutive defeat exactly on the date that marks one year since his last victory. The English athlete has a record in mixed martial arts of 16 triumphs and seven setbacks.

Diakiese started the match trying to shorten the match, but Alvarez responded with good counterattacks, putting the Englishman in danger. Joel put Mark in danger with his left attacks over the guard, in one of them, Diakiese even made a slight swing. Joel landed a beautiful combination that landed cleanly in his opponent's face. At the end of the round, Joel stuck to Diakiese's back and knocked his rival down, however, he fell to the ground underneath, which led to a small scare in the final seconds of the round.
In the opening seconds of the round, Mark got into Alvarez's legs and took the Spaniard down. Despite remaining on top and in control of the position, Diakiese was unable to be effective, which made Joel stand up in the final minutes, after a few seconds of ground and pound. At the last minute, the two athletes collided head-on, which made the Englishman groggy. Alvarez took advantage of the gap, attacked his rival and managed to get a choke, making Diakiese give up.

The premiere of Bryan barberena in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg) it was not the best. One of the most interesting athletes in the welterweight category (up to 77,1kg), the North American was dominated from start to finish by the Tajik Makhmud Muradov, who showed more speed in his strikes and punished his rival with a festival of takedowns.
With the triumph, Muradov breathes in the organization after suffering two consecutive setbacks, to Caio Borralho e Gerald meerschaert and now has a record of 26 wins and eight losses in the sport.
On the other hand, Barberena remains in a delicate moment in the company with a sad sequence of three consecutive defeats. The North American now has 18 positive results and 11 negative results as an MMA professional
