Werdum comments on brothers leaving Rua da Chute Boxe

The current ADCC champion, Fabricio Werdum, commented on the departures of Mauricio Shogun and Murilo Ninja from the Chute Boxe team. “It was a difficult exit. It took everyone by surprise, because they are children of the house. Chute Boxe was growing a lot and suddenly it fell, but I remain firm and strong in the team and I intend to stay here until the end of my career. I found myself at Chute Boxe. The training here is constant, there are a lot of tough people here for me to train. There are more than 40 people training every day, the quality of training never drops,” said Werdum, who spoke about his relationship with the Rua brothers.

“Their departure does affect my training a little, even because of the friendship I have with them and the quality of their training. Shogun was good training for me, but there's no shortage of training here. My friendship with them continues, as I really like the kids”, said Werdum, who has already recovered his knee and has been training hard to face Gabriel Napao at UFC 80, which takes place on January 19, 2008 in England. “I'm already fine with my knee and I've been training a lot in Mua Thai, wrestling with Cristopher Led... I'm in Curitiba, but I'm going to spend Christmas with my family in Porto Alegre, then I'll come back here and continue training until the 15th, when I embark for Europe. After the fight I'm still there because I'm going to give seminars in Switzerland, Croatia, Spain and a few other countries in Europe”, concluded the gaucho.
