With another impressive presentation, Lyoto Machida captivated the American public. After some performances highly criticized by the press, the Brazilian scored two unquestionable knockouts over Thiago Silva e Rashad evans, which earned him the UFC light heavyweight title. Lyoto commented, in the press conference after the event, the reason for his increased aggressiveness in combat.
“I've been training with a physical trainer and this work made me much more aggressive”, said the black belt, who commented on how he ended the fight.
“At that specific moment, as soon as I hit him, I realized that he felt it. So I had to go inside and finish the fight. And that’s what I did,” he commented.
