The UFC's return to Macau, which hosted the organization's first event in 2014, has already confirmed the main fight. Last weekend, president Dana White revealed that UFC Fight Night 48, which takes place on August 23 at Cotai Arena, will be headlined by a fight between middleweights Michael Bisping e Cung le.
In addition to the fight that closes the night's card, the director also revealed that the welterweights Hector Lombard and Dong Hyun Kim will perform in the co-main event of the event. Both Lombard and Kim are on good winning streaks and could move closer to an eventual title shot if they win.
At 35, Michael Bisping has a record of 24 wins and six losses. The Brit has alternated defeats and victories in his last five fights and is coming off a setback against Tim Kennedy, suffered on April 16th. Now the veteran Cung le, 42 years old, has a record of nine wins and two losses. The former Strikeforce champion has been dealing with a series of injuries and has not performed since November 2012, when he knocked out Rich Franklin in the first edition of the UFC in China.
