UFC 173's schedule of events for the week was officially opened this Thursday (22) with the half day (day focused on press coverage). The program featured interviews given by the six main names of the event – Jake ellenberger, Robbie Lawler, Dan Henderson, Daniel Cormier, TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao – and the first looks between the stars of the fight night.
In the case of Barão and Dillashaw, the meeting was the first “in-person” encounter between the rivals in the fight for the bantamweight belt. Previously, the Brazilian and the North American had already faced each other through a big screen, during the event's promotional event.
The official UFC 173 agenda continues this Friday (23), when all the fighters on the night's card pass the scales at the official weigh-in, which starts at 20pm (Brasília time). On Saturday (24), at 19pm, the preliminary card of the event begins. The main card is scheduled to start at 23pm.
