Anderson Silva: 'I don't know if I'll be able to fulfill the rest of my contract with the UFC'

Anderson still has an eight-fight contract with the main MMA organization on the planet

At 39 years of age, Anderson Silva He still has a long contract, of eight more fights, to fulfill with the UFC. At the moment, the Brazilian says he is motivated by the chance to return to the octagon after suffering a fracture in the rematch against Chris Weidman, in December last year, but even so he did not guarantee that he will act until the end of the agreement.

“I have eight fights. I intend to do them all, but I don't know if I'll have the courage to do it. For now, I'm super excited, going through a renewal phase. It'll be cool when I get back to fighting and doing what I love. As long as I have this desire to fight, I will fight”, said Anderson, in an interview with the “Sensei SporTV” program.

Anderson Silva has a record of 33 wins and six losses. The time off after the fracture he suffered at UFC 168 delayed the Brazilian's schedule, but if he maintains his recent average of fights per year, Anderson will stay with the organization until at least 44 years old to reach the end of his current contract.
