In the final phase of training to face Matt hugs, at UFC-98, the former Ultimate welterweight champion, Matt serra analyzed the moment his opponent was experiencing and his preparation to face his old rival.
"Matt hugs has lost its explosiveness and when that happens, you have to rely a little more on technique. With this he will have some problems, as he used to be bigger, stronger and a better athlete than most of his opponents”, said Serra.
“I'm sure he thinks that because he's bigger than me he can take me down. This is his only ace up his sleeve. I'm not training for Hughes who lost his last two fights, but I am training for the experienced Hughes. This is the difference he will find”, concluded Matt Serra on Rádio MMA Mania.
UFC-98 takes place on May 23rd, in Las Vegas, in the United States.
