St. Pierre will participate in the remake of an old film by Jean-Claude van Damme

Canadian, away from MMA, will be present in the reshoots of ‘Kickboxer – The Dragon Challenge’

Georges St Pierre continues with total dedication to his acting career after his indefinite retirement from MMA. This Monday (12), the Canadian was confirmed in remake from the film “Kickboxer: The Dragon Challenge”.

PUBLICITY:

Originally shot in 1989 and starring Jean-Claude van Damme, the film became one of the classics about martial arts in cinema. It is not yet known what St. Pierre's role will be. WWE member Dave Bautista will also be in the film, and the protagonist will be played by Alain Moussi, who has already acted as a stuntman in some Hollywood productions.

O remake tells the story of a fighter, Kurt Sloan, who tries to avenge the death of his older brother during a kickboxing competition in Thailand. Sloan will have to defeat the feared Tong Po with the help of Xian Chow, his brother's former mentor. There is still no prediction of when filming will begin, nor the film's release date.

PUBLICITY:

Recently, St. Pierre acted in the film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, playing the character Georges Batroc, a French mercenary specialized in martial arts.
