Matt Brown and Ed Herman received the highest salaries at UFC Fight Night 40, an event held last Saturday (10) in the city of Cincinnati, in the state of Ohio, in the United States. The fighters, who coincidentally outperformed the Brazilians Erick silva e Rafael Sapo, pocketed US$82 thousand and US$80 thousand at the event. The numbers were released by the Ohio Athletic Commission.
Brown, who was in the main fight of the event, received a fixed purse of US$41 and received double that as a bonus for winning. Furthermore, “The Immortal”, as he is known, won another US$ 100 thousand in extra prizes for having the “Fight of the Night” and for having one of the “Performances of the Night”.
Among Brazilians, Erick received a fixed salary of US$22, in addition to US$50 for the “Fight of the Night”; Sapo took US$26 thousand, Yan Cabral took US$10 thousand and Johnny Eduardo, the only Brazilian winner of the night, received US$16, in addition to receiving US$50 for the other “Performance of the Night” award.
