This Friday (09), the fitness academy Vitor belfort in Rio de Janeiro he received an illustrious visitor. Taking a break from the program during the Rio stage of the WCT (world surfing championship), North American Kelly Slater, eleven times world champion, joined a group of children assisted by a social project on a visit to the Belfort training space .
In his official profile at Facebook, Vitor commented on Slater’s presence. “Eleven push-ups paying homage to the eleven-time world surfing champion. There's only one champion here: Kelly Slater and the victorious kids from Complexo do Alemão who came to visit us for the project 'Escola da Paz by Vitor belfort'. Total honor to have everyone here”, published “Fenômeno” on the social network.
This isn't the first time Slater and Belfort have met for a training session. In 2010, the surfer, who has a blue belt in jiu-jitsu, had already trained with Belfort in the United States. The pair have maintained a good relationship since then, to the point where the American joked with the Brazilian when he changed his haircut to a “mullet” style.
