André Gusmão's opponent confident of victory

Hastily chosen by Ultimate to replace the injured one, Houston Alexander and face the Brazilian Andre Gusmao at UFC-98, Krzysztof Soszynski, he is training hard and doesn't mind fighting with little preparation time

“For someone who has been fighting their whole life to get into the UFC, there is no way to refuse and say that I don’t want to fight,” Soszynski told the website SUPER FIGHTS through his floor coach, Brazilian Ricardo Pantcho.

Pantcho also commented on Soszynski's short preparation period for the duel against Gusmão.

“We were all taken by surprise, after his fight at UFC-97, Krzysztof spent two weeks in Canada. Now he’s training hard and next week it’s just about losing the weight,” he said. “He is well trained and very confident”, added the black belt, who revealed what the American's strategy will be for the duel against the Brazilian.

“We know that he comes from capoeira and has been with Renzo for three years, but he likes stand-up fighting,” he said. “The strategy will be the same as usual, exchange a little, put him down and work the ground and pound to try the kimura, which is his strong position (laughs)”, highlighted the black belt.
