There is little left until the end of registrations for the CBJJE Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which takes place in São Paulo, from May 22nd to 24th. The event, which will be held at the Mauro Pinheiro gym, in the Ibirapuera complex, has already confirmed the participation of teams from all over Brazil.
“All federations in Brazil will send fighters. The one in Mato Grosso, for example, comes with two buses and the one in Amazonas comes with at least 40 athletes. Many athletes also come from Rio de Janeiro, from traditional teams such as Nova União. Furthermore, we have confirmation from several other states”, says the entity's president, Moises Muradi.
Proof that the event will feature athletes from all corners of the country, Christmas star Diego Quadros, who in 2008 won the entity's World Cup and Pan-American Championships, also confirmed his participation.
“This year I will fight everything I can. In addition to the Brazilian Championship, I will definitely compete in the CBJJE World Championship and Pan-American Championship, among other competitions”, said Diego.
