One of the biggest promises in Brazilian MMA in recent years, Jonas Bilharinho from Rio de Janeiro signed a contract with the second largest MMA organization in the world. According to 'Combate', the featherweight division athlete (up to 65,7kg) signed an agreement with Bellator and will soon have the opportunity to fight for the company chaired by Scott Coker.

Former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) of the national event Jungle Fight, Jonas became known for winning most of his first career fights by knockout and for becoming the main sparring partner of the then UFC featherweight champion José Aldo, before the historic duel against Conor McGregor.
For many years speculated as a possible Ultimate signing, Bilharinho had his biggest opportunity in November 2011, when he participated in the reality show 'Contender Series'. Despite the third-round knockout over Canaan Kawaihae, the Brazilian athlete did not impress Dana White and, even with the victory, he was not hired by the biggest MMA organization in the world. The Team Nogueira athlete does not yet have a date or opponent set for his Bellator debut.
