Tainara Lisboa celebrates victory in debut and reveals message from Amanda Nunes after UFC Charlotte

The Brazilian bantamweight was thrilled with her triumph over Jessica-Rose Clark and couldn't hide her happiness with the affection she received from the current bantamweight champion

After a strong debut in Ultimate, Brazilian Tainara Lisboa did not hide her happiness with her categorical debut in the largest MMA organization in the world. The bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) Tupiniquim admitted that she was anxious before stepping into the octagon for the first time, praising the triumph over Jessica Rose Clark and revealed that he received a message from the champion Amanda nunes, congratulating her on the positive result.

“It’s impossible to be in the UFC and not feel butterflies in your stomach. But, as incredible as it may seem, I was filled with joy and gratitude for experiencing all of this and the focus was the greatest of all the feelings I felt. I was very happy with my performance in the fight. I had an excellent camp, and I confess that I was very excited to see the result in the Octagon. And I believe that I managed to show a little of my skills in each modality that MMA requires”, said Lisboa.

The Brazilian said that the impact of her victory exceeded her expectations and revealed that she received a message from the current bantamweight champion, her compatriot Amanda nunes.

“The impact exceeded all my expectations. The reporters, the people who make the show happen, the team that accompanied us every day in Charlotte... Everyone was incredible! And as soon as I picked up my cell phone, the giant Amanda nunes had started following me and congratulated me. At the time I said: 'My God, she who has been at the top for years sees me?' It was surreal! I’m so happy!”, concluded Tainara.
