The UFC announced that Brazilian Bethe “Pitbull” Correia will have her next fight against Shayna Baszler, at UFC 176, which will take place on August 2, in Los Angeles, in the United States.
At the end of last month, Pitbull defeated Jessamyn Duke in a unanimous decision by the judges. After the fight, the Brazilian challenged the “Four Horsewomen” team, which is made up of the category champion, Ronda Rousey, Duke, Baszler and Marina Shafir. The UFC champion highlighted Correia's attitude, but stated that the fighter's next opponent should be Baszler.
Correia is undefeated in professional MMA, with eight wins in eight fights. Veteran Baszler, a TUF 18 participant, has yet to make her official UFC debut.
The main fight of UFC 176 will involve another Brazilian: José Aldo will defend his featherweight belt against Chad Mendes.
