After provoking the Diaz brothers on Twitter, Thomson says he was hacked

Former Strikeforce champion said he had his phone stolen and says he respects Nate and Nick

Once again, social media causes controversy in the lives of UFC fighters. Weeks after the alleged episode of homophobia involving Jon Jones, this time it was Josh thomson, an athlete in the lightweight category, who was involved in a controversial situation on Twitter.

The fighter's official account published an offensive message against brothers Nick and Nate diaz, in which there was a challenge for the first. “I knocked out your brother and I will knock you out in San José, on July 26th. Let's do this, you bitch. Go f*** yourself, Nick Diaz!” the message said.

The next day, Thomson deleted the message and stated that his account had been hacked.

“People who know me know that I would never talk about a fighter like that. My phone was stolen last night while I was having dinner.”

“I respect all fighters, especially the Diaz brothers. Nate and Nick have always been nice to me and I have nothing bad to say about them.”

“My apologies to anyone who was offended by the tweets and texts.”

Nate diaz He didn't believe Thomson's version and took advantage of the situation to needle his former tormentor.

“You got drunk, talked a lot of s***, and when you woke up you panicked.”
