Vitor belfort has not been missing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) since it was banned from MMA earlier this year. The Brazilian veteran stated, in an interview with the “Sensei SporTV” program, that he is managing to maintain a strong pace during his training even though he was forced to leave treatment aside.

“[I feel] like an animal. An animal. The Holy Spirit gives me everything I need. I have full confidence and I'm training like an animal. Nobody trains more than me”, explained Belfort, who also stated that the TRT issue caught the attention of the MMA community due to his good form in his last fights.

“It was a very shocking thing for people to see me winning the way I did. I think this shocked the MMA world, because we saw Chuck Liddell become a ladder for many fighters as he got older. In my case, this ladder is really big and the guy falls from the top,” he explained.

Belfort continued: “TRT continues in baseball, in basketball. Unfortunately, it became this myth because I was knocking everyone out. It was me. It wasn't with Chael Sonnen, Dan Henderson, Frank mir. In fact, after he was banned, Henderson fought in Brazil with Shogun using TRT. The funny thing is that. The Brazilian cannot fight there, but the American can fight here”, he criticized.

Finally, Belfort reaffirmed his confidence that his next fight will be for the UFC belt, in addition to saying that Ronaldo Jacare, and not Lyoto Machida, should face Chris Weidman by title. “It doesn’t make sense for him [Machida] to be fighting for the belt. Jacaré is the one who should be fighting, because if there is a ranking, the ranking should be fulfilled. But it’s a fact: my next opponent will be the one who holds the belt”, concluded the former light heavyweight champion.
