Connor McGregor can be considered one of the UFC's favorites today, whether by fans or by president Dana White. With a strong personality and controversial statements, the Irishman has benefited from his condition and taken the opportunity to secure big challenges at the microphones. This time, McGregor directed his words to the featherweight champion José Aldo, stating that he will run over the Brazilian.

“I will destroy Chad Mendes, I will annihilate José Aldo. I arrived to conquer this division. The featherweight category is mine”, Conor told the official newspaper “UFC Tonight”. The Irishman also took the opportunity to attack his next opponent, Cole Miller. “He’s slow and scared of me. I'm fast and I'm not afraid of anyone. There is no comparison. You can hear the fear in his voice, in his body language. He is paralyzed. I'll catch him, but not just him. I saw everyone challenging me while I was injured. But now I'm back and I'm going to go over everyone. I often say that I'm always ready, and it's true. Miller opened his mouth to challenge me, but he was still in the heat of his last victory, with his adrenaline pumping, which has the same effect as alcohol: making you brave. And do you know what happened? I accepted! Now he has to face reality: he will face me coming back from injury. I'm angry. I’m going to go in there and finish him off right from the start”, he said.

Incorporating a persona increasingly similar to that of Chael Sonnen or Tim Kennedy, famous for provoking practically all of their division rivals, McGregor also aimed his “spinner gun” at Cub swanson, confirming that he called his rival “old man”. “It’s true, I called him old. I didn't ignore it, but I didn't see it either. I just said 'Swanson's old man'. I have no problem with him, but when the time comes, I will end you too, old man. We talk a little about each other and I'm just having fun with it. But keep the old man away from me, for his own good”, concluded the 25-year-old Irishman, who has a record of 14 wins and just two defeats.
