the refusal to Ronda Rousey to greet Miesha Tate after the victory over its rival in December last year, it provoked a barrage of criticism of the champion at the time. Now, it was the Brazilian's turn Beth Pitbull went through a similar situation after her victory over Jessamyn Duke, whose corner Ronda is, at UFC 172. Bethe revealed that Rousey ignored her and was the only one not to salute her among her entire opponent's team.

“I noticed her negative reaction after the result was announced. I shook hands with Jessamyn and her entire corner after the fight. When I went towards Ronda, she turned her back on me and left the octagon. I greeted the entire team except her, because she turned her back on me. But that doesn't matter to me. Ronda can love me or hate me and it won't affect my life. I prefer to worry about people who are polite. It's okay if she doesn't like me. I don't like her either. I don’t need her friendship to be an elite fighter,” said Bethe, in an interview with the “MMA Fighting” website.

The Brazilian responded to the champion's attitude with a provocative gesture. Bethe raised three fingers at Ronda, indicating that she had already beaten one member and there were still three left to beat from the group known as “Four Horsewomen” ( – which, in addition to Jessamyn Duke, also includes Ronda herself, Shayna Bazsler and Marina Shafir. “Jessamyn is a member of the group. Since I beat her, I made the gesture in case I face one of them, who I will beat too. I'll fight anyone. The UFC has an entire division of women at my weight, so I just have to wait for a call. I hope it starts soon, so that I can maintain my training rhythm”, concluded the native of Rio Grande do Norte, who has a perfect professional record with eight victories.
