Present at UFC Las Vegas 72, Caio Borralho analyzes his opponent and reveals expectations for the fight

In an exclusive interview with Super Lutas, the Brazilian points out Michal Oleksiejczuk's one-dimensional style and predicts an advantage in the duel

Fueled by three consecutive victories in Ultimate, Caio Borralho begins to approach the elite of the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg) and prepares for increasingly difficult challenges. Escalated to face Michal Oleksiejczuk this Saturday (29), the Brazilian spoke exclusively to SUPER FIGHTS about how he sees the UFC's choice in the fight marriage.

"I liked it a lot. Everything is going the way I planned. People were already saying after my last victory: 'Ah, you can get a top 15 now'. I think I have the level to get into the top 15, but flight hours are what matters. My plan was to fight a guy outside the rankings, but who is coming in strong. So Michal is the perfect guy for this. He's been getting the hype since he was at light heavyweight and now he has two knockouts at middleweight, so I think it's a fight that makes sense,” said Caio.

As a leader in grappling, Borralho believes that his skills on the ground can nullify his opponent's dangerous striking during the fight.

“The fight fits very well with my game, as I am very dynamic. I fight standing up and on the ground, I can do everything, I mix it up very well. Michal presented himself in a one-dimensional way, he's a guy who boxes, basically. I don't know if he'll want to change a little now. If he changes, it will be at the beginning of the fight, but then he goes back to his instinct, which is to box. He's a guy who trusts his left hand, I see my game fitting very well (…) he knows my level of wrestling and jiu-jitsu. I think I'm better (in that area) than the last two who beat him. I'm going to make him afraid of my takedowns”, concluded the fighter.

Scheduled to face each other in the UFC Las Vegas 72, this Saturday (29), the fighters face off in a duel valid for the middleweight category. Victorious via judges' decision in his three UFC appearances, Borralho declared that he will try to seek a knockout or submission, but that the most important thing is to emerge victorious.
