When Anderson Silva began to show signs of an incredibly quick recovery, rumors about his return to the Octagon grew. It was even speculated that the Brazilian would return to fight in 2014, in the last event of the year. But Anderson himself tried to contain expectations and declared that he already has 2015 in his plans. For Ed Soares, Spider's agent, any assessment of the former champion's possible return is still quite premature.

“I also hope that he returns to fight soon and I know that everything will be fine, but it is still too early for us to determine when he will return. This will not be decided by Dana White or me, it is a decision that can only be made by Anderson. Only he will be able to say when is the right time to step back inside”, said the businessman, in an interview with the website of the “Combate” channel.

According to Soares, the return to fighting is not yet the topic of conversations with the Brazilian, which have been more concentrated on the motivational aspect. “Anderson is training, he's in that initial phase of post-injury training, but, to tell the truth, I haven't talked to him yet about when he wants to fight again. Right now, we are more focused on making him feel good and move. Anderson is training and enjoying training again and I think that's what's most important right now. The accident happened four months ago, so it is still too early to determine when he will return. His recovery is going very well and only time will tell if this return to the end of the year will really happen”, he analyzed.

Without fighting since December 28, 2013, Anderson Silva he turned 39 years old on April 14th. The Brazilian is still in the process of recovering from the fracture suffered in his left leg during the defeat in the rematch against Chris Weidman, at UFC 168. In his career, Spider has a record of 33 wins and just six losses. Anderson was UFC middleweight champion for almost seven years, between October 2006 and July 2013.
