The next appointment Rafael Feijão in the UFC was finally officially confirmed this Wednesday (23). It will be event number 174, which will be held in the city of Vancouver, Canada, on June 14th. Your opponent will be the North American Ryan bader.
The announcement of the fight was already expected, as UFC president, Dana White, had anticipated the information in the Twitter. However, the original plans were to put the duel at UFC 175, in July.
Currently ranked 12th in the official UFC light heavyweight rankings, Feijão will try for his second consecutive victory. In November last year, in Goiânia, he knocked out Igor Pokrajac in the first round. Five months earlier, in his UFC debut, he was knocked out by Thiago Silva in Fortaleza, also in the first round.
Bader, who is three positions ahead in the rankings, will try to put an end to the period of inconsistency he has been going through since 2012. In his last five performances, the fighter has been alternating victories and defeats: he won Quinton jackson, lost to Lyoto Machida, beat Vladimir Matyushenko, was defeated by Glover Teixeira and, most recently, surpassed Anthony Perosh.
The main fight of UFC 174 will be a flyweight belt fight between the champion, Demetrious Johnson, and Ali Bagautinov. In the second most important fight of the night, Tyron woodley e Rory McDonald will duel to define the possible next challenger for the welterweight belt.
