Johnny Bedford was angry after his fight at UFC Fight Night 39, this Friday (11), in Abu Dhabi. The North American was confident that he would be named the winner in the fight against Rani Yaya, but was surprised by the announcement that it was a no-contest (fight without result).

All this because Bedford knocked out the Brazilian with an unintentional headbutt. Even though the images made it clear that it was an illegal coup, Bedford considered that he should have been declared the winner. His anger became clear in the Octagon, when he said that the decision was “crazy” and that he had knocked out Yahya fairly.

Later, the American posted on his Twitter his desire to have a rematch with Yahya, mentioning Dana White and Sean Shelby, responsible for marrying the fights in the lighter categories.

“UFC fans, what do you think? A rematch in San Antonio in June? Let's see what happens in my backyard. Knockout again.”

The fans' response was not what Bedford had hoped for. Several internet users harshly criticized the fighter – some even insulting him.

“You didn’t touch him [Yahya] until he stopped. It was a headbutt, you’re being ridiculous.”

“Not to mention that you were also groggy when you headbutted him. So don’t brag about knocking him out, since you got dizzy yourself.”

“If you want to have the home court advantage, behave like a professional.”

“I like you, Johnny, but you should know that headbutting is illegal. You shouldn’t be mad.”

Even the profile of UFC on FOX, a broadcaster that broadcasts some events in the United States, disagreed with Bedford's stance.

“I don't understand Bedford's argument. You can't win a fight with a headbutt, man. Calm down."
