Minotauro promises to be 'on tiptoe' against Roy Nelson in Abu Dhabi

Brazilian praises his preparation and says he has high motivation for this Friday's fight (11)

After more than ten months away, Rodrigo Minotauro Finally, he's back in the UFC. This Friday (11), the Brazilian will take part in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 39, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, where he will face Roy Nelson.

In his last fight, in June 2013, Minotauro was submitted by Fabricio Werdum in Fortaleza, in a fight that injured his arm. Even though, since then, he has gone through a turbulent period with injuries and surgery, Minotauro assured that he is as well prepared as possible for his next fight.

“I prepared very hard for this fight. I had a lot of support from all my Team Nogueira training partners and this only served to strengthen me even more for this fight. I really want to show my value and achieve this victory again. I know I'm going to face a tough opponent, but I'm confident. I am well trained, this is a challenge that motivates me a lot”, said the heavyweight, former interim UFC champion.

“I've always taken great care of myself and I'm prepared to fight five rounds at a high level. I worked a lot on the physical part, I did a lot of agility work. The fact of Roy Nelson Never having been knocked out or submitted in the UFC gave me extra encouragement. I trained very hard and I want to show the results of this work inside the Octagon. I respect my opponent a lot, but you can expect a Minotaur at the tip of his hooves”, promised the Brazilian.
