Bellator surprises and confirms Patrício Pitbull's fight for third belt in the organization

Brazilian MMA legend, Patrick Pitbull You have a date and rival for your next appointment. Current featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) and former lightweight leader (up to 70,3kg), the native of Rio Grande do Norte was confirmed as Sergio Pettis' opponent in the fight for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg). The announcement for the clash, which will take place on June 16, in Chicago (USA), was made official by the company this Monday morning (27).

Considered by many to be the greatest fighter in the company's history, Pitbull will have the opportunity to expand his legacy in the company. If he overcomes the current bantamweight champion, the athlete will become the first representative of the organization to boast achievements in three different divisions.

The confrontation between Patrício and Pettis marks the co-main fight of the Bellator 297. The main role of the show is Vadim nemkov e Yoel romero, who face each other for the light heavyweight throne (up to 93kg.).
