Melvin Guillard agrees with WSOF and provokes UFC: 'Time to make real money'

Fired from the UFC after 22 fights and almost nine years in the event, American Melvin Guillard does not seem to have left the organization without resentment. On Monday night (07), Guillard used his official profile on Twitter to confirm your agreement with the World Series of Fighting and sting his ex-home.

“I just signed with WSOF. It feels good to be part of something different. It’s time to make real money and get that belt”, the fighter published on the microblogging network. Among the lightweights in the new organization, Guillard will be joined by other athletes who fought in the UFC, such as: Dan Lauzon, Jacob Volkmann and Tyson Griffin. In the fight for the belt, your targets are Justin gaethje and Nick Newell, who will compete for the title in July.

At 31 years old, Melvin Guillard has a record of 31 wins, 13 losses, two draws and two unsuccessful fights. “The Young Assassin”, as he is known, debuted in Ultimate in 2005, at TUF 2 Finale, with a victory over Marcus Davis. With a history of alternating between good and bad results, Guillard experienced his best moment in the organization between 2010 and 2011, when he went on a run of five wins. Recently, after a I didn't answer against Ross Pearson, caused by an illegal knee, and a defeat to Michael Johnson, Melvin ended up being fired by the UFC in March.
