One of the most respected and exciting athletes in the history of MMA, Donald Cerrone will become part of the gallery of 'Immortals' of the sport. On Saturday night (25), during UFC San Antonio, the former lightweight title challenger (up to 70,3 kg) was announced as a new member of the organization's Hall of Fame, becoming part of the 'Modern Wing' of the select group.

After the announcement, Cerrone, who was at the arena in San Antonio, was moved by the tribute and the public's applause. The fighter was in tears after being surprised by the arrival of his wife and children, who arrived in the city by surprise and made a point of hugging him on this historic day.
Professional in MMA from 2006 to 2022, Donald became a true favorite of the North American fans. Always willing to fight, the fighter ended his career in the sport with 55 commitments, 36 of which were triumphs.
A member of the UFC squad since 2011, Cerrone came to compete for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg) in 2015. The athlete, however, ended up being severely knocked out by Rafael dos Anjos. In Ultimate, Donald is second in the ranking for the most victories, with 23. The athlete is also the record holder for performance bonuses, with 18 in total.
