Gina Carano admitted that she is thinking about returning to fights and that she will start negotiations with the UFC next week. The revelation was made on the interview program “The Arsenio Hall Show”, on Thursday night (3).
The fighter, who is currently dedicated to her acting career, has been away from competition since 2009, when she was defeated by Chris Cyborg at Strikeforce. In recent months, Carano's name has gained strength within the UFC, especially due to rumors indicating a fight against Ronda Rousey, current champion of the bantamweight category.
Carano said she will hold a meeting with UFC president Dana White next week to discuss her possible future within the organization. Furthermore, she stated that she can't get the idea of returning to fights out of her head.
“I love it [fighting]. It's something I do that makes everything else disappear. I dream with this. I just don't know if I'll be in a position to return. So either I return now, or I retire and say I will never fight again. This is the moment”, said the fighter.
