Initially scheduled for June 6th, the duel between Brazilians for the Strikeforce light heavyweight belt, between Renato Babalu e Rafael Feijão will have to be postponed.
The current champion, Renato Babalu asked to be removed from the card due to the approaching birth of his son.
“When the fight was initially proposed, the possibility of a fight in May was up in the air, and when they said they would change it to June 6th, we agreed. It turns out that three days later the doctor confirmed that Babalu's baby was due on May 24th. We immediately informed Scott Coker, from Strikeforce. The fight has been postponed until the August event,” Richard Wilner, Babalu’s manager, told MMA Weekly.
If Babalu left the card, Rafael Feijão remains confirmed on the show and awaits his new opponent.
