About to make his seventh defense of the light heavyweight belt on April 26th, at UFC 172 against the Brazilian Glover Teixeira, Jon Jones that erase once and for all any bad impression that may have remained from his last victory in a title fight – about Alexander Gustafson. At the time, the champion had a difficult time against the Swede and ended up winning his hard-fought victory in his career, by decision of the judges. In an interview with the “UFC Tonight” program, Jones stated that the reality against the Brazilian will be different and his dominance will be notorious.

“I will win this fight. My goal is to dominate him in a way that no one has ever seen or imagined”, said the champion to the official Ultimate newspaper. In addition, Jones also confirmed that he passed a surprise drug test with a view to fighting for the belt. “Yes, the commission sent the laboratory to test me here and I am happy that they tested me. I took urine and blood tests. This is something my team and I had requested seven months ago. I'm not accusing my opponent of anything, but it's good to have done so. We requested that this be done, the UFC approved it and I didn't know when they would come. They ended up coming today (April 2, day of the interview),” he revealed.

The American also spoke about the situation with steroids in the sport and stated that he hopes that both he and Glover undergo further tests before April 26th. “I thought it would be good to show that the athletes who are competing are clean. I have never taken any type of drug, but some people have done so in the past. I want to see our sport clean and that's why I decided to test myself. I have no right to accuse Glover in any way, but I know people will do anything when they have a chance to fight for the title. I have spoken openly about steroids and it is easy to say that you are against it, the difficult part is to prove it. I'm not a big guy, talking about muscles, but it does me good to show people that I've never taken anything. I hope Glover and I are tested again before the fight,” he concluded.
