Nick Newell believes he has the perfect style to win Justin gaethje and win the World Series of Fighting lightweight belt. The fighter, who is missing part of his left arm due to a congenital amputation, will challenge the organization's champion in July, on a date yet to be defined.

In an interview with the North American website “Sherdog”, Newell stated that he already knows what he needs to do to come away with victory. “I don't think he's going to knock me out and I don't think he's better at striking than me. He's been tested more in terms of kickboxing, but I see holes in his game that I feel I can exploit. He is a fantastic fighter, he is in the top 10 in the world, but I know I will beat him and take the belt,” he declared.

Even though he was confident of victory, Newell did not fail to praise his next opponent. “Just look at his best moments, because that speaks for itself. I definitely think I have more popularity, but he is more highly rated. I predict people will pick him to win. I know I have what it takes to beat him, but he is a great fighter”, he highlighted.

Both fighters have identical records, with 11 wins and no losses, only one by decision of the judges. However, Gaethje's record includes more well-known names, as he surpassed Drew Fickett (UFC veteran), Gesias Cavalcante (former K1 Hero's champion) and Dan Lauzon (former UFC fighter).
