Rousimar Toquinho resumed his career in style last Saturday (29). After being released from the UFC, accused of holding back a submission against Mike Pierce at UFC Fight Night 29, in October, the athlete from Minas Gerais won the WSOF belt. Toquinho needed just 69 seconds to submit the then champion Steve Carl and win the event title.
Concentrated in Abu Dhabi, where it faces Roy Nelson on the 11th, Rodrigo Minotauro, leader of Toquinho's team, celebrated his pupil's performance.
“I am very happy with these two achievements, this is the result of years of work. Toquinho was fantastic and showed that he is one of the greatest finishers in world MMA. His debut in WSOF left a great impression and I'm sure he will still stand out there”, said the veteran heavyweight
