The Brazilian Rousimar Toquinho won the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) welterweight belt last Saturday night by submitting Steve Carl with a heel hook. Despite the great triumph, the Brazilian athlete will have little time to celebrate. Shortly after the victory, the president of the franchise, Ray Sefo, revealed that veteran Jon Fitch will be the Minas Gerais native's first challenger. The clash will be the main attraction of WSOF 11, on July 5th.

Fitch, who for many years was considered the second best athlete in the 77 kg category, was released from the UFC after his setback against Demian Maia and was one of Toquinho's biggest critics. The American revealed that he would not accept facing the Brazilian, as he was afraid of suffering an injury with Rousimar holding back a submission.

After the fight was announced, Fitch posted on his social networks: “I agreed to fight (with Toquinho) in July. No more…,” he posted on Twitter.
