With the new welterweight champion John hendricks Recovering from injury, Ultimate is already starting to move towards defining the future challenger for the category belt. The organization's plans are that Rory McDonald e Tyron woodley face each other at UFC 174, which takes place on June 14, to decide who will fight for the title next. The information was released by the website “MMA Junkie”.
If the organization's plans are confirmed, it will be great news for MacDonald, who will fight to become number one contender at home. That's because UFC 174 takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada), the Tristar Gym athlete's home province.
At 24, Rory McDonald has a record of 16 wins and just two losses. Current number two in the welterweight rankings, “Ares”, as he is known, comes from a victory over Demian Maia. Already Tyron woodley, 31 years old, has a record of 13 wins and two losses. The North American comes from triumphs over Josh koscheck e Carlos Condit and is currently number four in the 77 kg category.
