Gilbert Durinho reinforces accusation against Conor McGregor regarding alleged manipulation in 'The Ultimate Fighter'

Protagonist in TUF 31, Irishman is asked about casting athletes he knows; action would harm fighters pre-selected for the reality show

Protagonist in 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) 31, Conor McGregor his name continues to be involved in controversy even before the start of the reality show. After being accused by businessman Daniel Rubenstein of manipulating the list of contestants on the program, it was time for Gilbert Durinho reinforce suspicion. In your profile on 'Twitter', the Brazilian pointed out a new chapter for the episode.

“This guy is my teammate. Loik Radzhabov, two-time finalist in the PFL at lightweight (up to 70,3kg.). He works very hard and was ready to get his opportunity to make it to the UFC through TUF. He was in (Las) Vegas and prepared. Conor brought his own athletes and he (Loik) ended up being dismissed”, published Durinho.

UFC standout, Gilbert wasn't the only athlete to accuse the 'Notório'. The middleweight (up to 83,9 kg.) of the UFC, Chris Curtis, also suggested manipulation of the Irish star and was responded to by the star, who denied the assumptions.

"Is not true. I only know one guy on the show. Now, after today, he is scheduled to face the number one. I didn't demand anything, and I certainly didn't remove anyone. I'm just trying to get back in the game. So get lost,” McGregor posted on 'Twitter', in a message later deleted.

Without competing professionally since 2021, Conor will share the lead role in TUF 31 with Michael chandler. At the end of the season, the fighters will measure up in the Octagon.
