Ruiz and Bananada comment on the confrontation at WFC

One of the biggest WFC attractions, which will rock Niterói, on April 24th, will be the fight between Rodrigo Ruiz and Paulo Bananada. Both have the main characteristic of never giving in and promise a lot of action for the public.

“The expectations are the best possible. I've been training a lot of jiu-jitsu and boxing and physical preparation with functional training. I'm well prepared and I know that Bananada is a tough athlete, who has already participated in Rio Heroes and has a fighter's heart. We are now at a professional event and he is a certified fighter for that. It is a great battle destined for two great warriors. We will put on a show and I hope our fight will be the best of the night”, declared Rodrigo Ruiz.

“I'm really excited and I can't wait to start this fight. Ruiz has come a long way in MMA and is an athlete with a good name and very respected by everyone who knows MMA”, replied Bananada.

This will be the second time that Ruiz performs in Rio de Janeiro. As on the other occasion the São Paulo native ended up defeated, now he works hard to do well.

“I always wanted to fight in Rio de Janeiro, but my first fight didn't please me. Not for the result, but for my performance. Now I hope to get to Rio and put on a show for the public to enjoy. I have a legion of friends and fans here in São Paulo and I want to have the same in Rio too”, he said.

Bananada doesn't want to give his opponent a chance. Coming off a victory, the fighter has already been focusing on WFC Pozil's opponent for a long time.

“My preparation remains the same, I recently had an MMA fight and won the Muay Thai state championship with the LCMT. I'm feeling really good. In fact, I didn't even train after my last fight. Since before, I have been focusing on Rodrigo because I recognize his qualities. My preparation involves a lot of wrestling (Half Jaoude), submission and jiu-jitsu (Otávio Tatá) and double muay thai (Phillip Lima and Francisco Alves),” he said.
