This Sunday (23), in Natal (RN), Mauritius Shogun makes the main fight of UFC Fight Night 39 against Dan Henderson. Before arriving at Ultimate, the Brazilian made history at PRIDE, a Japanese event that was the great exponent of MMA in the first half of the last decade. Therefore, to warm up the engines for the duel between Shogun and Hendo, the Ultimate organization made available the video of one of the Brazilian's biggest fights in Japan, against his compatriot Rogério Minotouro.

The duel between Shogun and Minotouro, held at the PRIDE Critical Countdown 2005 and valid for the quarterfinals of the middleweight GP (up to 93 kg), is still considered by many to be one of the best fights in the history of MMA. The duel, voted the best fight of 2005, ended after three rounds of action and opportunities for both sides. On that occasion, Shogun emerged as the winner and later, after triumphs over alistair overeem e Ricardo arona, won the title of Grand Prix of the middleweights.
