Coming from a good winning streak within the UFC, Cub swanson will have a tough challenge ahead. On June 28, in San Antonio, in the US state of Texas, the 30-year-old fighter will face Jeremy Stephens in the main fight of the night, which means the fight will last five rounds.
Swanson hasn't known what it's like to lose for three years, as his last setback was against Ricardo Lamas, in November 2011. Since then, the fighter has won five victories, four of which were by knockout or technical knockout. Among his victims is the Brazilian Charles of the Bronx, defeated in September 2012.
If he achieves another victory, Swanson will be closer to having the opportunity to challenge for the featherweight belt, currently in the hands of José Aldo. The two fighters have already faced each other in the now-defunct WEC, with the Brazilian winning just eight seconds into the fight, by knockout.
Stephens is also in good form in the featherweight division. Since leaving the lightweight division, he has won three straight, against Estevan Payan, Ron Jason and Darren Elkins.
