TUF Brasil 1 finalist in the middleweight category, Daniel sarafian is ready to move down a division after suffering his second defeat in Ultimate, to Cezar Mutant in Goiania. The São Paulo native will move down to welterweight and already knows who his first opponent will be in the new category. This is the Japanese Kiichi Kunimoto, who won Luiz Besouro by disqualification on January 4th in Singapore. The duel is the first official fight for UFC 174, which takes place on June 14 in Vancouver (Canada).

Kunimoto has a record of 16 wins, five losses, two draws and one fight without result. After having a long career in Pancrase, one of the most traditional MMA events in the world, the Japanese moved to Ultimate and debuted precisely against Luiz Besouro, at UFC Fight Night 34. The victory over the Brazilian was quick, as “Strasser”, as he is known, suffered illegal elbows that culminated in Besouro's disqualification just over two minutes into the fight.

Yes, Daniel sarafian, 31 years old, has a record of eight wins and four losses. In three Ultimate fights, Sarafian beat Eddie Mendez and ended up defeated by CB Dollaway and Cezar Mutant. Against his TUF partner, Daniel starred in a delayed final of the reality show – since even though he won his place in the decision he did not take part in the fight due to an injury.
